La fertilización es una pieza fundamental en el mantenimiento de un campo de golf. Aunque es un aspecto muy estudiado y desarrollado, en los últimos años se han llevado a cabo nuevas líneas de investigación que están haciendo cambiar el concepto de fertilización tal y como se entendía hasta ahora, prestando mayor atención a determinados nutrientes, tales como el silicio, y teniendo en cuenta nuevas sustancias e incluso microorganismos con los que no se había contado hasta ahora. En esta webinar se hará una introducción a la fertilización de campos deportivos, y así mismo se hablará de las nuevas tecnologías que han ido surgiendo en los últimos años y que afectan directamente a dicha fertilización.

Acerca del Instructor

José Ángel Sánchez AlcaláJosé Ángel Sánchez Alcalá, Ingeniero Agrónomo por la Universidad de Almería. Actualmente desarrolla su actividad profesional como Greenkeeper, Asesor de Greenkeeper o Asesor para el Uso Sostenible de los Productos Fitosanitarios según el RD 1311/2012 (España), en diferentes campos de golf, entre los que se encuentran Rio Real Golf, Club de Golf Aloha, Club de Golf Miraflores, Los Naranjos Golf, La Cala Golf, Cabopino Golf, La Quinta Golf, Golf Las Américas, Valle Romano Golf y Club de Golf La Cañada. Así mismo es profesor titular de Nutrición Vegetal desde el año 2.004 en el Master en Dirección de Mantenimiento de Campos de Golf de EADE (Málaga). Además de su experiencia en el área del mantenimiento de campos deportivos, ha desarrollado su actividad en la investigación, siendo las principales líneas el desarrollo y empleo de tecnologías en la línea de las buenas prácticas desde el punto de vista medioambiental, la mejora de la eficiencia de los fertilizantes y el estudio de bioestimulantes, fitofortificantes y fitovacunas.

Fertilization and New Technologies in the Nutrition of Golf Courses

Fertilization is a fundamental piece in the maintenance of a golf course. Although it is a very studied and developed aspect, in recent years new lines of research have been carried out that are changing the concept of fertilization as it was understood until now. More attention is paid to certain nutrients, such as silicon, as well as new substances and even microorganisms that had not been taken into consideration before. In this webinar, José Ángel Sánchez Alcalá, agronomist from the University of Almería, will give an introduction to the fertilization of golf courses and also talk about new technologies that have emerged in recent years and directly affect fertilization.

About the Instructor

José Ángel Sánchez Alcalá is an agronomist from the University of Almería. Currently working as Superintendent and Advisor of Superintendent, also known as Advisor for the Sustainable Use of Phytosanitary Products according to RD 1311/2012 (Spain) throughout different golf courses in the south of Spain such as Rio Real Golf, Aloha Golf Club, Miraflores Golf Club, Los Naranjos Golf, La Cala Golf, Cabopino Golf, La Quinta Golf, Las Americas Golf, Valle Romano Golf and La Cañada Golf Club. He´s also Associate Professor of Plant Nutrition in the Master in Management of Golf Course Maintenance at EADE University in Malaga since 2004. In addition to his career in the field of maintenance of sports fields, he has developed research activity; the main focus being the development and use of technologies in the line of good practices from the environmental point of view, the improvement of efficiency of fertilizers and the study of biostimulants, phyto-fortifiers and phyto-vaccines.
