There’s more involved with water needs of turfgrass than just turning on the sprinkler. Knowing the species and cultivar you have at your facility is a good start as different types use water differently and have their own needs. In this 90-minute webinar, Ashley Wilkinson covers key information such as evapotranspiration and calculation of ET, bicarbonates, pH, hardness and salinity. This leads to how managers can use moisture meters and other technologies as well as tips for use of effluent or other treated water. Developed for those working to successfully complete the ASCS Agronomy exam, it builds a foundation for Wilkinson’s next webinar on irrigation system design.
