Matt Giese, M.S., and Lisa Beirn, Ph.D., Syngenta technical managers, review identification of snow mold, as well as management strategies for planning a snow mold prevention program. In this 60-minute webinar, they focus on the value of fall clean-up applications, pink and gray snow mold species & their respective disease cycles, implementing cultural practices to reduce disease severity and turf recovery. The duo review the importance of preventive fungicide applications and optimum timings for both fall and spring. They close out with a discussion of the newest technology for combating snow mold.

Lisa Beirn, Ph.D., is a Technical Services Manager for Syngenta. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences from Cook College, Rutgers University and her master’s and Ph.D. in Plant Biology from Rutgers University.
Matt Giese, M.S., is the Midwestern U.S. Technical Manager for Syngenta and has worked for them for more than 28 years. He earned both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Nebraska, the latter in turf and turfgrass management.
