About the Instructors

Bryan Epland, CTEMBryan Epland, CTEM, is the Equipment Manager at ArborLinks Golf Course in Nebraska City, Neb. He has been a member of GCSAA for 7 years. Epland achieved his Certification in July of 2022, becoming one of the Inaugural Class. He will also be teaching in the Shop Solutions Power Hour at the 2024 GCSAA Conference and Show in Phoenix.

Trent Manning, CTEMTrent Manning, CTEM, has remained close to home as equipment manager at both Ansley and Settindown Creek Golf Club in Georgia. Manning earned certificates in small engines, electrical and reel theory from Gwinnett Technical College. He also completed the EETC certificates in Electrical, Hydraulic, Four Stroke Engines and Diesel Engines Manning and also earned his CTEM in 2022. In 2018, Manning was recognized for excellence among golf course equipment managers as the Most Valuable Technician by GCSAA and GCM magazine in partnership with Foley Company. Manning is the creator and host of the Reel Turf Techs podcast and recipient of GCSAA’s Edwin Budding Award for 2022.

Diana KernDiana Kern is GCSAA’s Sr. Manager, CTEM Certification and Certificate Programs. She earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Kansas and has served GCSAA members since 1998. She is also known as DianatheKUfan.
