About the Instructors
Renee D. Geyer is the head Golf Course Superintendent with Canterwood Golf and Country Club in Gig Harbor, Wa. Born and raised in Ohio, Geyer attended The Ohio State University Agricultural Technical Institute in Wooster, Ohio and then began her professional career at Firestone Country Club in Akron, Ohio. She has served on the national GCSAA PAC Board, GCSAA Nominating Committee and has been involved with GCSAA task groups throughout her career. Serving as a speaker at the Ohio Turfgrass Foundation Conference and Show as well as the National Conference and Trade Show, Geyer has been able to highlight involvement and passion for promoting the presence of women in the Golf Industry. She also served on GCSAA’s inaugural Women’s Task Group. When not at the golf course, she enjoys time with family, throwing competitive darts and gardening with her wife.
Jill Seymour, CGCS, is the Golf Course Superintendent at Charleston Springs South Course in Millstone, N.J. She earned her bachelor’s in turf science from Penn State University. She worked at several courses as an assistant superintendent before becoming a professor of turfgrass science at Mercer County Community College. Seymour first earned her CGCS in 2022 and also served on GCSAA’s inaugural Women’s Task Group.
