About the Instructor

Fred Yelverton, Ph.D., is a professor of crop science at North Carolina State University where he co-directs the Center for Turfgrass Environmental Research and Education. His research program focuses on PGRs and the development of environmentally sound weed management systems for both warm- and cool-season turfgrasses. In addition, he advises several graduate students in the area of turfgrass weed management and plant growth regulators. Yelverton has taught numerous seminars and sessions at GCSAA’s annual education conference as well as the popular webinar Reducing Poa Annua on Your Golf Course.
