About the Instructors
Eric Duncanson, equipment manager at Pine Needles & Mid Pines Golf Resorts in Southern Pines, N.C., was born in Scotland and graduated from The Open University with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering. Duncanson has over 20 years’ experience in the golf course industry as an equipment manager at high end facilities, starting at Loch Lomond Golf Club, which hosted four European tour events during his tenure. While at Pine Needles and Mid Pines Golf resorts, Duncanson has helped host the USA Women’s Open in 2001 and again in 2007, as well as the Senior Women’s Open in 2003.
Cory Phillips is the equipment manager at Golf Club of Georgia and Horseshoe Bend Country Club in Alpharetta, Ga. He is a 4-year GCSAA member, served on GCSAA’s Equipment Manager’s Task Group and completed all 8 EMCP exams in 2017. Phillips co-taught several seminars in 2018 at GIS in San Antonio and has also helped create 5-Minute Fix videos.
