Looking at Nutrients Role in Plant Growth and Health On Demand

Author
Beth Guertal, Ph.D.
Start Date

Duration
90 Minutes

Millions of consumer products are now labeled nutrients added so turfgrass managers should follow suit and use more nutrients on turf. Wait - maybe that’s not sound logic. In this 90-minute ASCS Prep series webinar, Beth Guertal, Ph.D., looks at logic based on science to outline practices for nutrient use. She starts with the plant’s response to a nutrient deficiency, covers macro versus micro nutrients then answers questions like:

  • What is an essential nutrient?
  • Which do we commonly apply as fertilizers?
  • Does toil testing matter and which type is better?

Listen in to hear how nutrient use can impact your management practices.
