Equipment Managers today don’t just keep the equipment fleet operational and cutting, they impact agronomy and the golfer directly - to a much greater degree than probably realized. In this 60-minute webinar, Bud White helps outline this relationship with concrete examples. The cutting quality of the reels is an obvious impact, but did you know that poor cut quality causes more disease, and can affect ball roll quality? Many relate putting green quality to speed, especially on the tour, but the pros actually evaluate putting quality in this order:

  1. Quality of ball roll
  2. Green firmness
  3. Putting speed

Equipment setup, including vertical mowers, groomers, topdressers, brushes and cutting units, has the greatest impact on that number 1 factor. Golfers’ rating of the putting surfaces traces straight back to the mechanic’s shop in so many ways and this webinar will help you see how choices you make have an impact.
