About the Instructor
Bill H. Maynard, CGCS, is the director of golf course maintenance operations at The Country Club of St. Albans (Mo.) and a past GCSAA president. A native of Nashville Tenn., he earned a B.A. in psychology from the University of Tennessee. Maynard was previously the golf course superintendent at Milburn Golf and Country Club in Overland Park, Kan.; Champion Hills Club in Hendersonville, N.C.; and the Virginian Golf Club in Bristol, Va. He has served as a board member for both the Carolinas and Heart of America chapters, including service as president for the HoA GCSA. Maynard first achieved certification in 1998, has served on a GCSAA national committee every year since 1999 and has taught both seminars and webinars for GCSAA.
