Turfgrass management practices such as cultivation, mowing and topdressing have a role in maintaining both a dense healthy turf cover and appropriate conditions for playing the game. These activities are part of the Best Management Practices (BMP) that all facilities are encouraged to create and maintain a manual form. To assist with this endeavor, GCSAA has developed a Planning Guide and on-line template. In this 60-minute webinar, John Foy will review Cultural BMP principles and practices (there are 12 categories in the cultivation section) that you may want to include in your facility manual. Foy will also discuss winter overseeding of warm-season turfgrasses along with BMPs for shade and tree management.
