About the Instructors
Carlos Arraya, CGCS, is the Director of Grounds & Agronomy at Bellerive Country Club located in Saint Louis, Mo. Bellerive Country Club was founded in 1897, and is currently ranked as the 32nd Platinum Country Club in America. Arraya earned his associate of science degree in electronics engineering technology from ITT Technical Institute and subsequently obtained an associate degree in golf course operations. In 2012, Arraya earned the GCSAA Certified Golf Course Superintendent designation and has taught seminars at the Golf Industry Show.
Grant Murphy is the associate golf course superintendent at The National Golf Club of Canada. Proud to be the first ever Fazio-designed golf course in Canada, The National Golf Club has been ranked at or near No. 1 since its inception. Murphy graduated with high honours from Seneca College’s golf course technician program. An avid speaker and constant learner, Murphy loves to hear other’s stories and to challenge all who will listen to strive for greatness.
