Back in 2016, Will Bowden introduced you to the city of Auckland, New Zealand’s goal of becoming the ‘World’s most live-able city’ and explained how the Auckland Council was looking at the role golf could play in that. So, what’s happened with the 13 council-owned golf course facilities in the city?

Auckland has grown in both land size and population. The 13 golf courses now occupy around 1600 acres of urban greenspace. Auckland’s population has increased to 1.7 million and is predicted to reach 2 million in 2028. Residential land occupation has increased by almost 30% since 1996. In this 60-minute webinar, Bowden will update you on how the Auckland golf sector is responding to the on-going growth trend of the region and in particular how courses are seeking out ways to engage with their communities and add significant ecological value to an urbanizing city. Listen in learn how you might communicate these same positive benefits to your neighbors and community.
