About the Instructor
Faith B. Kuehn, Ph.D., served as Environmental Program Administrator for the Delaware Department of Agriculture’s Plant Industries. Her responsibilities included nursery, apiary, noxious weeds, and invasive species. Kuehn earned a bachelors from Connecticut College and masters in botany and zoology from the University of Oklahoma. She earned an M.B.A. from the University of Delaware and her Ph.D. in entomology from the University of Arizona. She led several federal grant projects to catalog native bees in Delaware’s vegetable production areas and worked with farmers to establish bee conservation practices including pollinator buffers on their farms. Kuehn developed community and therapeutic gardens at the State’s Holloway Campus and Delaware Psychiatric Center. She also served on the Delaware Native Species Task Force, which established the Delaware Native Species Commission.
Currently, Kuehn manages Green Cabinet, a project that encompasses pollinator conservation, therapeutic gardens, and artful entomology.
