When new people join your team, it is important to have control over what they learn and who they learn it from. The attitudes, work culture and professionalism that new staff members are exposed to on their first day (and in the first few weeks of employment) play an essential part in determining their attitude towards their role and the organization as a whole. This is a key time / opportunity to impart a healthy company culture and a good work ethic to newcomers. The onboarding process needs to be deliberate, well planned, and ideally intriguing for newcomers to feel ‘drawn in’ and excited to be there.
In this presentation, Kelly Sauerman looks at
* The importance of effective onboarding,
* How to create an onboarding program,
* How to implement an onboarding program.
