About the Instructors

Trent ManningBorn in North Georgia, Trent Manning has remained close to home as equipment manager at both Ansley and Settindown Creek Golf Club. Manning earned certificates in small engines, electrical and reel theory from Gwinnett Technical College and more recently completed the GCSAA Equipment Management Certificate Program. He also completed the EETC certificates in Electrical, Hydraulic, Four Stroke Engines and Diesel Engines while working for a Toro Distributor where he was a mobile service technician. Manning has been in the golf equipment industry for over 20 years and is the host of @reelturftechs podcast.

Austin WrightAustin Wright began his career on the turfgrass side of the industry attending Kansas State University then becoming an assistant superintendent in Lawrence, Kan. He decided to follow his passion and combine both the game of golf and mechanics to pursue the equipment management side of the golf industry. Wright worked as a service technician for the local Toro distributor in the Kansas City area, then took the equipment manager position at the Country Club of Leawood, Kan. In 2016, Wright and his family moved to Rome, Wisc. where he started as the equipment manager helping build Sand Valley Golf Resort. After opening three courses at Sand Valley, Wright has now taken on more responsibility as the Grounds Complex and Equipment Manager. He has also been working with the Wisconsin GCSAA chapter building the Equipment Manager Program.
